FAQ

What does a short-term vacation rental host actually do?

Hosts are responsible for managing the property, updating each platform that contains the property listing, responding to guest messages, and coordinating each cleaning (and now sanitizing) between stays, all while trying to stand out from other properties in the area! They’re also required to keep solid relationships with local vendors and contractors to ensure reliability and quick solutions when immediate assistance is needed at the property.

What is the process to partner with the co-host experience?

First, we must meet! I like to meet my clients face-to-face based on what scheduling and safety allows for. Zoom meeting or Skype is always an option as well. If we are local to each other, I’d love to meet in-person.

What if I’m not sure which package I will need?

Let’s meet and talk about your needs and your property. I never assume any property is the same just as my clients are not all the same either. Please book an Intro call with me (it’s free) so we can connect and find the perfect strategy for our partnership.

What are your fees & pricing?

This will vary depending on the property and my client’s needs. Some clients prefer to be completely hands-off while others have an idea of some tasks they don’t mind keeping and taking the reins on. Once I have an opportunity to meet you and learn more about your needs and goals, I can provide a more accurate quote for my co-hosting services.

Why can’t I just use a family member as my co-host?

You could certainly use a family member as your co-host, but when it boils down to the business side and something goes awry, will you be able to work with this person? An even better question to ask yourself is if you’re willing to risk your relationship if something were to cause conflict between you both. Not to toot my own horn, but I believe leaving family out of business is the best solution. The likelihood of being asked for a “favor” is less common when you remove direct connections. Your Uncle Phil may not even think to ask if he can come stay for free at your property!
